2013 – LOGAN LIGHTNING FC STRUCTURE

WHY COME TO LOGAN FC:

Logan Lightning FC is a partnership between Loganholme FC and Beenleigh FC which saw a joint senior venture take the field in 2012.  In 2013 the entire football program will be a combined effort which will see a formal amalgamation of the two clubs.

We had in excess of 950 players from squirts to seniors in 2012 making us easily the largest club in Logan City; one of the largest clubs in the entire Football Brisbane zone and the only football club in Logan City that continues to grow each year, which is demonstrative of our successful approach to club football.  This includes almost 90 football squirts (4-5 year olds), 45+ SSF teams, 19 divisional teams (including four girl’s teams), a youth team, six senior men’s teams and two women’s teams.  We are a club that can provide football for everyone!

We were also successful in our bid to gain entry to the new 2013 Brisbane Premier League (BPL) Competition which will see BPL at Cornubia Park for the first time in our clubs 33-year history.

On the field we have had tremendous results, particularly in terms of our juniors with 15 of or 19 teams making the semi-finals, eight making grand-finals and four grand-final wins which made us the most successful junior club in Brisbane for the 2012 season.  We also saw one Metro team and the Premier division one men’s team make the grand-finals.

We have seen significant improvements to our facilities this year, including the full redevelopment of our main playing field and associated training area, repairs and extensions to the fencing on field 2; and the full enclosure of the main playing field. In the coming weeks we should also see the redevelopment of the deck at Cornubia Park and construction of a fully insulated roof to cover the entire deck area at a cost of $100,000.00 and we are also hope to be successful in our grant application for $35,000.00 to undertake a full redevelopment of field 3 (behind the clubhouse).

We are focused on every player and provide an environment that is friendly and enjoyable.  If you are looking for the best club in Logan City – you need look no further than Logan Lightning FC.

2013 SEASON STRUCTURE

We are pleased to announce our very exciting club structure for the 2013 season, which includes an expanded partnership with Beenleigh FC on both the junior and senior side of the club.

2013 will see our club field BPL teams from U12 all the way through to seniors.  The BPL competition will replace the former BJL competition as the top tier of junior foorball in the FB zone.  We will also field division 1 in every age group.

Parents, players and coaches can all be part of something special as we continue to be a dominant force in the junior football landscape in Brisbane and as we enter the new world of the Brisbane Premier League.  Be part of our clubs history in the making by being a part of the inaugural BPL season at Logan Lightning FC.
