REGISTRATION, MEMBERSHIP & MATCH FEES:
We are very mindful of the need to keep costs as low as possible for our members and one of the toughest decisions the committee make every year relates to the price of registration fees.
This season has seen an increase of approximately $9.00 per junior player in relation to the Football Queensland and Football Brisbane association fees. As a club, we attempt to keep the registration fees as reasonable as possible, however, with our large membership base, this is simply a cost we can’t absorb and we have no choice but to pass this increase onto our members. Add to this an almost 30% increase in the cost of utilities such as electricity and water as well as CPI increases, it has been necessary to increase the base cost of all junior registration fees (except Squirts) by $15.00 per player. U12 div 1 and BJL registrations fees have also been increased in line with the additional costs associated with those teams, however, the associated coaching levy has been removed
We are confident our membership will understand the need for the increases in fees and any surplus funds will be diverted back into club improvements as usual. There will be no increase in the cost of match fees for the 2012 season.
The costs associated with our club are significant with at least $60,000.00 needed just to cover electricity, water, rates & insurance. Add to this the cost coaching courses, replacement/new playing equipment, administration wages, permits, supply of trophies and photographs to all players; there is very little revenue available for the club to fund additional improvements (i.e. new goals, field upgrades etc).
Decisions to increase fees are always difficult and we are very mindful of the impact on our members, however, without registration and membership fees at the current level we simply would not be able to cover our costs.
